CONCEPT / SHORT RESEARCH / FULL RESEARCH PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The submission of a concept paper/short research paper offers a valuable opportunity to provide a comprehensive exposition of your research project within the International Language and Education Invention, Innovation, and Design Exposition (ILEIID) 2025. To facilitate a rigorous and consistent review process, please adhere to the following guidelines in preparing your submission: 


- Be Comprehensive Yet Concise
- Start with a Punchy Introduction
- Detail Your Methodology
- Showcase Your Results (if applicable)
- Discuss the Potential Impact (if applicable)
- Follow Formatting Standards
- Include Keywords
- Cite Your Sources (if any)
- The language of the write-up must be in English only



FORMAT

Length: Typically 4-8 pages
Line Spacing: Single-spaced
Alignment: Justified
Keywords: Include 3-5 relevant keywords below the abstract. Italicise the label "Keywords:" followed by the keywords
File Format: Submit your extended abstract as a PDF (.pdf) file to ensure formatting consistency across different systems
Visuals (if applicable): If including tables or figures, ensure they are clear, properly labelled, and referenced within the text. Place them as close as possible to their first mention

Only ACCEPTED and AMENDED papers will be published. In a case where the papers fail to be published in the indexed journal, they will be published as non-indexed publications through an e-book of compiled research papers with an e-ISBN.

Abstract

  • Formatting: Single paragraph, italicised (optional), typically 200-250 words.
  • Content: Briefly summarise the research question/problem, key methodology, main findings (if applicable), and the significance/implications of your research.

Introduction

  • Formatting: Clearly state the research problem/challenge, provide necessary background information, and end with the aim/objective of your research
  • Content: Establish the context of your work within language and/or education, highlight the gap or issue you're addressing, and clearly state what you intend to achieve with your research
Literature Review

  • Formatting: Structure the literature review to highlight key thematic strands using clear subheadings, concise synthesis, and logical flow .
  • Content: Include recent scholarly findings, institutional case studies, and emerging trends that contextualise your chosen themes
Methodology

  • Formatting: Describe the research design, data collection methods (if applicable), and analytical techniques used. Be concise yet detailed enough for understanding
  • Content: Explain how you conducted the research. Detail the resaerch design, sampling, steps, processes, or theoretical frameworks that underpin your approach
Findings & Discussion

  • Formatting: Present key findings clearly (if applicable), using tables or figures where appropriate. Discuss the significance and interpretation of these results in relation to your objectives
  • Content: Summarise the outcomes of your work (if you have them), analyse what these results mean in the context of your research question, and discuss their implications for language and/or education
Conclusion

  • Formatting: Briefly summarise the main contributions of your research and suggest potential future directions or implications. Avoid introducing new information
  • Content: Restate the key takeaways from your work, emphasise its significance, and potentially suggest future research or development avenues
References

  • Formatting: Follow a consistent citation style (APA 7th Edition) for all cited sources. List all references alphabetically at the end
  • Content: Include a complete list of all sources you cited within your extended abstract, ensuring accuracy and adherence to your chosen citation style
